I am Marcos Bustos. I build websites for small businesses from Valencia, Spain, and I look after where they live: the hosting, the domain, the DNS, the mailboxes and the thing that breaks at eleven at night.
This site started as a notebook. Every time I solved something the hard way, on a host I pay for, I wrote it down. That is what the guides are.
The accounts these guides come out of
- Hostinger shared hosting (hPanel): two WordPress blogs of mine and my studio site. Backups, DNS records, mailboxes, SSL, file manager, the lot.
- Hostinger KVM 1 VPS: unmanaged Ubuntu, a Node.js app served by Caddy, systemd units, and a Let’s Encrypt certificate chain that iPhones refused until I changed the key type.
- Cloudflare Pages and Netlify: static sites and demos with custom domains.
- DonDominio and IONOS: domain registration, transfers and DNS.
- Shopify and Wix: one store and one site I built and managed for someone else, both closed in 2026.
- WordPress: block editor day to day, plus bulk edits through the REST API when clicking 90 times is not an option.
- Google tools: Search Console, AdSense and Google Business Profile, used on real properties rather than read about.
- Claude Code: I write and maintain a lot of this with an AI assistant, and I say so openly in the editorial policy.
What I will not write
I will not review a host I have never paid for as if I had. I will not publish a benchmark I did not run, a star rating I made up, or an income figure I cannot show. Where I only know a provider from its documentation, the article says exactly that and links to the page and the date.
